In addition to this, African leaders were ready to sell their citizens as slaves. somewhat of the African chiefs sell their prisoners as slaves for financial gain. or so 1.2 to 2.4 million Africans died, term their masters transported them to their new destinations. The Slave Ship: A Human History tries to show how the slaves suffered during their actual dose to European destinations. Some of the slaves died due to torture.
